Heart Pop-up Cards
Valentine’s Day is around the corner!
Like many American schools, my daughter’s school has a tradition of handmade cards for Valentine’s Day to everyone in the class. The class makes handmade mailboxes or envelopes, and children drop personal Valentine greetings into each classmate’s mailbox. It is fun to make the cards every year and also to see what kind of notes they receive.
So, here are the heart pop-up cards We made for all of her classmates, so we used a simple heart-shaped die cutter. Of course, you can also use scissors.
It could be a single color of red, or various colors such as red, pink, or brown to make it more beautiful and fun.
Materials
– Papers: Pink, red or brown, any colors you like
– Scissors or Heart punch *I used this
– Glue
– Folded card
Instructions for making
Step 1. Cut into Heart Shapes
Cut the paper into heart shapes. The heart punch is easy to use. I used three colors: pink, red, and brown. Use five heart parts for one 3D heart. It may be fun to cut out paper with a design patterns.
Step 2. Fold the Half and Glue
Fold the cut-out heart paper in half. Then, glue the five folded hearts together. Using creative color combinations is also a fun part of the process.
Step 3. Glue to the Card
Fold the card in half, attach a 3D heart to the folded card. Write your message, and you are done.
Heart Pop-up Cards
もうすぐバレンタイン。多くのアメリカの学校がそうであるように、娘の学校でも、バレンタインにクラスのみんなに手作りのカードを配る習慣があります。クラスで手作りの郵便ボックスや封筒をつくり、持ってきたカードをその中に入れます。毎年つくる楽しみと、どんなカードを貰ってくるか見る楽しみもあります。
というわけで、飛び出すハートのカードです。私たちはクラスの人数分を作ったので、簡単にハート形の型抜きを使ってつくりました。もちろん、ハサミを使ってもいいですよ。
赤一色でもいいし、赤やピンク、茶色などいろんな色を使うとより賑やかで楽しくなりますよ。
用意するもの
– 画用紙：ピンク、赤、茶などお好きな色
– ハサミ もしくは ハート型のパンチ こちらで購入しました
– 糊
– 二つ折りのカード
つくりかた
Step 1. ハートの形に切る
紙をハートの形に切ります。ハート型のパンチを使うと簡単にできます。私がつかった色はピンク、赤、茶色。一つの立体ハートに5枚のハートパーツを使います。柄や模様のある紙を切り抜いても楽しいかもしれません。
Step 2. ハートの紙を半分におる
切り抜いたハートの紙を半分に折ります。そして折った5枚のハートを糊付けします。色の組み合わせを考えるのも楽しい作業ですよ。
Step 3. 台紙に貼る
半分に折ったカードに立体のハートを貼り付けます。メッセージを書いたら完成です。
